Retail Associate
Full-Time (40 hours / week) - at least one weekend day required
Essential duties
Customer service: Greet customers, provide insight about plant materials, write sales slips, and operate POS system.
Plant Care: Monitor plant material to ensure minimal losses and maximize the aesthetic of the space by watering, organizing, and pruning as needed.
Communication: Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and completion of shared duties.
Ordering: Contribute to and place gift shop orders, process arrivals, and submit claims when needed.
Other gift shop and clerical duties including restocking, filing, etc.
Required qualifications
A positive attitude, solid work ethic, interest in learning about plant material. Must be friendly and patient with customers’ needs and requests.
Comfortable with a highly active, indoor/outdoor role requiring some heavy lifting (must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.) and other physical labor.
Ability to handle multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail
Experience working with a team to achieve goals and/or customer service
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of and/or experience working with plants
Nursery Yard Associate
Full-Time (40 hours / week) - Saturday availability required
Essential duties
Customer Service: Greet customers and wholesale clients, provide insight and suggestions about nursey stock options, write sales slips, become familiar with pricing to keep both retail and wholesale billing operations running smoothly
Plant Care: Monitor inventory to ensure minimal losses and maximize aesthetic of the nursery yard by watering, organizing, and pruning as needed.
Loading and Yard Work: Operate trucks and machinery and assist in loading and unloading of nursery stock and perennials as needed. Occasional plant delivery and pick-ups may be necessary.
Communication: Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and completion of shared duties.
Required qualifications
Comfortable with a highly active outdoor role which will require heavy lifting and other physical labor
Ability to handle multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail
Experience working with a team to achieve goals and/or working in customer service
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of and/or experience working with plants
